This weekend, I once again went and "spurged" on books! I went to my favorite local bookstore and picked up a nice little haul!
I got:
Mary Renault, THE BULL FROM THE SEA
Joan Haslip, Catherine the Great a Biography
Sarah B. Franklin, Daughter of Troy: A Magnificent Saga of Courage, Betrayal, Devotion, and Destiny
Posie Graeme-Evans, The Dressmaker: A Novel
Michael Curtis Ford, The Last King: Rome's Greatest Enemy
Michael Curtis Ford, The Sword of Attila: A Novel of the Last Years of Rome
Joan Haslip, Catherine the Great a Biography
Sarah B. Franklin, Daughter of Troy: A Magnificent Saga of Courage, Betrayal, Devotion, and Destiny
Posie Graeme-Evans, The Dressmaker: A Novel
Michael Curtis Ford, The Last King: Rome's Greatest Enemy
Michael Curtis Ford, The Sword of Attila: A Novel of the Last Years of Rome
I'm not sure which one I'm most excited about! Any thoughts on any of them??
The Bull from the Sea is classic- I read it many years ago and loved it. But I can also highly recommend The Firebrand. All Marion Zimmer Bradley's books swept me away.
ReplyDeleteI've always heard wonderful things about both Mary Renault and Marion Zimmer Bradley. I'm glad that you highly recommend both!
