The Strangled Queen by Maurice Druon

After Phillip IV succumbs to the Templar's curse, Louis X is crowned. But with his unfaithful wife imprisoned, he is unable to have an heir. With the papacy being split, there is no pope to grant an absolution, Louis le hutin must take matters into his uncle, Charles of Valois' hands. First, Valois must fight Marigny, Phillip IV's Grand Chamberlain for power and the future of France. The battle for Artois rages on, with Countess Mahult still rejecting Robert's claim. Times are perilous in France.
I loved the continuation of this story. It really is awesome. I love sagas, and this one tells the whole story. Very highly recommend!
