HFVBT Stop: Sebastian's Way

Sebastian is a young man in the court of Charlemagne. Growing up, he wants to be a member of Charlemagne's heavy calvary and a scholar. Realizing his brilliance and difference, he is favored by those around him, including the King. As Sebastian grows into manhood, this novel follows his battles, heartbreaks and journeys.

This book was a great study of Charlemagne's court. I liked how Sebastian was portrayed so differently than those around him. I also appreciated how the problems that he struggled with are still relatable to today. The book pace was good, even in the slower portions of the book. I really enjoyed the book.
