The Fairytale Keeper:Avenging the Queen by Andrea Cefalo

Adelaide's mother always called her Show White, even though she hated it. But when the fever claims Addie's mother claims her mother, Addie would give anything to hear her mother say it again. The parish priest defiles Addie's mother's funeral, she is bent on revenge. But revenge comes at a high price. A chain of events is set off, and almost nothing can stop it.

Addie's story combines fairy tales with fact based historical fiction. Carefully blending the two creates a beautiful story. Addie is a lovesick teenager, but faces the hardships of the medieval time period. Ivo, her love interest, is an amazing counterpoint to Addie's spontaneous nature. The chemistry between these two is great. I loved how the simple story turned into a really amazing story with consequences for all those that Addie love. The beginning of the story is a bit heavy, but the depressing nature of the story really brings the story into context. I love the twists and turns of the plot.  This retelling of fairy tales really makes for an amazing book.

Thank you Andrea for providing me for a review copy.
