America's First Daughter by Stephanie Dray and Laua Kamoie

Martha "Patsy" Jefferson promises her mother on her deathbed to take care of her father. In his grief, Patsy becomes his confidante and assistant. She travels with him to France during the beginning of the French Revolution, defends him at home in America and serves in his White House. Through her personal life, she always stays a true daughter to one of America's First and Finest Presidents.

Patsy was a wonderful character.  I enjoyed her strong will from the first page, and she never disappoints. Her story is uplifting and heart breaking. Dray and Kamoie manage to capture every emotion that Patsy experiences with clarity. I enjoyed this book a lot. Very highly recommended!

As a side note, this book is one of the Goodreads Finalist in Historical Fiction. Read this one, you won't be sorry! Congrats to Stephanie Dray & Laura Kamoie for this honor!

Thank you to the publisher for a copy.
